kristy emailed me back in january to schedule a session; she and her husband had just moved to baltimore and were expecting their first child in may. i was curious how someone in ohio (where they moved from) got my name and it turns out that her sister-in-law is friends with the wife of a good friend of mine from seattle (got it?). it was really a small world connection and i was excited to meet her yesterday. kristy is a graphic designer and it was totally obvious when i saw her son's nursery. it was, hands down, the coolest nursery i've seen. nothing cutesy or baby about it - very modern and cool and totally hip. exactly the kind of room i wish i could have done for my kids except that i have exactly zero interior design talent.
i spent about an hour with kristy, dave and baby kegan. it was a beautiful, sunny day yesterday and i was hoping to spend a bunch of time outside, except it ended up being about 137 degrees. we went outside for a few shots and then came back inside to the air conditioning. took some shots inside and then braved it outside for a few more. poor kristy and dave were in jeans and long sleeve shirts!
