ABOUT ME
i am a child and family photographer located in fulton, md and serve maryland, virginia and dc. i took my first photography class way (way) back in junior high - back when cameras used film and you used an enlarger in a darkroom to make prints. i've been digital since 2004 and i don't miss the smell of the chemicals or using a piece of paper to burn and dodge. i much prefer the computer.
PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS
i am a member of both the national association of professional children photographers and wedding and portrait photographers international.
regular session fee: $250 for a 1-2 hour session; the session fee is due in advance to reserve your day and time.
senior session fee (for rising or current high school seniors): $150 for a 1-2 hour session; the session fee is due in advance to reserve your day and time.
print prices begin at $60 and collections begin at $1000. i also offer canvases, albums and digital files. please email me for a complete price list.
FAQs
what should we wear? | first and foremost, wear what you are comfortable in. if you and your kids are in new, dress-up clothes, no one is going to be happy. i don't do frilly dresses or families all dressed in the same outfit (does your family normally go out in public together all wearing jeans and white shirts? i didn't think so).

you don't have to buy new clothes for your kids' sessions - you probably have similar clothes in their closets already. use these sites as inspiration to put together outfits in new ways: hoodie sweatshirts with swim trunks or a polka-dot dress with a colorful sweater tied around the waist. and when in doubt? bring as many clothes as you'd like to your session and i'll help you mix and match to come up with the perfect solution.
why did you combine your blog and website together? | i got tired of maintaining two sites and liked the more personal nature of a blog. i call it my blogsite. so two became one and my life got a little bit simpler.
